The “Making Waves” Charity Gala presented by the B4ACUSA 501C3 Foundation takes place on Saturday, December 30 in Orlando, Florida. The annual giving campaign and ticket sales for this event provide thousands of dollars in scholarships and special prizes to Miss Earth USA delegates in all age divisions.
During the gala dinner, guests will also enjoy a runway competition presented by BQG The Pageant Resource. Three runway winners of various ages will be named BQG spokesmodels, each receiving a wardrobe gift of her choice up to $350 retail.
Delegates will also participate in a LuLaRoe fashion show, and later hear from Keynote Presenter DeAnne Stidham, owner of LuLaRoe. A spokesmodel award will be presented with value $300 merchandise and additional opportunities for future collaboration with the company.
This year, the organization has chosen to support marine life and water conservation efforts. Volunteers will work hands on with organizations as well monetary contributions when possible to Nature Conservancy, See Turtles and Save the Manatees.
Finally, each of this year's scholarship finalists will be honored on stage. Scholarship finalists are determined through annual giving campaign fundraising via SpotFund, followed by committee review of finalist Think Global Act Local environmental project work and body of work. Scholarships range from $500-$1,500 and include all age divisions.
