In February 2020, we lead our third annual Puerto Rico mission, including 9 volunteers and 3 staff members traveling from the USA mainland.
While the southern region of the islands have recently been struck by a series of damaging earthquakes, the group will focus on continued hurricane relief, environmentalism and eco-tourism.
Projects include planting trees with the Para La Naturaleza organization, debris and trash removal in the El Yunque rain forest, and protecting sea turtle habitats at Hacienda La Esperanza. The volunteers will enjoy ecological and educational tours of the scenic areas including kayaking through the Laguna Grande Reserve Bio Bay and touring Old San Juan.
Our mission trips and projects rely on the support of volunteers, corporate funding and individual contributions. Thank you to everyone who made it possible to again serve the rich land and community of Puerto Rico!
