January 1, 2024. Orlando, Fla. - The B4ACUSA Foundation announces successful fundraising efforts facilitating nearly $25,000 in grants awarded during the most recent national awards ceremonies. Ambassadors for the pageant raised awareness and funding for these causes throughout the fall, leading up to the national event that took place on December 29-31 in Orlando.
On December 30, over 150 guests gathered at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando to support the "Making Waves" community efforts during the official Beauties for a Cause USA charity gala. The event included a runway show in partnership with BQG The Pageant Resource and a fashion show wearing LuLaRoe. Event host was Kennedy Thomas, CEO of The Pageant Resource and Keynote Speaker was Deanne Stidham, CEO of LuLaRoe.
A record-setting 44 Beauties for a Cause scholarship and grant finalists were recognized.
During the week-long national program, state ambassadors visited the coastal area of Melbourne and Cocoa Beach, Florida. They partnered with Keep America Beautiful, The Clean Earth Project and Garbo Grabber cleanup tools in order to conduct a special project for the community. Thank you to Vyral Media Public Relations for sponsoring the lunch for participating delegates and crew!
Delegates took home eco-friendly gifts from The Clean Earth Project, Go Bling Yourself, The Clever Mess, Executive Reign, LuLaRoe, as well as distribution of logo water bottles, reusable tote bags, and other items.
Through the People's Choice fundraiser on the Pageant Planet platform, 13 ambassadors were awarded a position in the upcoming third annual charity swimsuit calendar, in partnership with Rosen Hotels, The Code Creatives and Vizcaya Swimwear. Teen and Junior Ambassadors were awarded a modeling opportunity at New York Fashion Week by designer Marc Defang, as well as magazine features in the coming year.
Throughout the year, each Ambassador fulfilled an independent community project, an initiative entitled "Think Global Act Local." These projects were factored into the selection of scholarship recipients for B4ACUSA Foundation grants. Corporate gifts allowed for special scholarship awards selected by those companies or gifted directly to those selected as national ambassadors.
